We are seeking an experienced, self motivated, Portfolio Manager within our Global Investment Strategy group. The successful candidate will be a market savvy individual who is obsessed with the markets and world events. You will possess an inquisitive mind and have a love for numbers. You will demonstrate unwavering attention to detail, will work independently, and be resourceful and a self-starter. This is a full-time position, based in San Francisco. Primary Responsibilities: • Monitoring the team’s country, sector and other global macro models’ trades and the macroeconomic factors driving them; closely following the news flow of individual model. constituents such as countries or sectors, ensuring that the models are appropriately capturing the prevailing macroeconomic conditions and current markets’ trading. • Working closely with investment strategists and researchers to ensure the team’s overall investment outlook is appropriately reflected in model positioning. • Closely following the markets with a focus on idiosyncratic factors and catalysts such as political events which defy systematic modeling, for the team to consider additionally in its investment decisions. • Assessing and writing trade, portfolio positioning and performance commentaries and notes, with a focus on the macroeconomic factors that drove performance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject, MS / MBA / CFA a plus. • Experience as an analyst, researcher or portfolio manager in the buy- or sell-side, preferably in a global macro role. • Experience in multiple asset classes a plus. • Must have 7-10 years work experience in a relevant role and be able to demonstrate significant success.
